For me, abstraction is about freedom. The freedom to let go of the representation and instead give space to feelings, movements and expressions that do not need to be explained.
Abstraction frees me from rules, proportions and precise shapes, it opens up to allow the unpredictable to take place.
When I paint, I let the color, the structure and the rhythm guide me, and in that encounter something new is born, something that could not have been created through control.
